When I go to a spot for the first time, I always order a black coffee and separate shot of espresso. When it comes to espresso, there’s nothing to hide behind. Every shot your baristas pull shines a bright light on your beans, your roast, your machine, and your skill. The espresso and coffee here is fruity, bright, and clean. The Lehigh Valley is home to several top tier coffee shops, and this is a welcome addition to that list. Before opening this cafe, the owner honed his skills as a barista, roaster, blender, and sourcer. It’s clear he opened the shop as a way to share his passion with the community and not just to make money. It’s also clear that the meticulous precision demanded by his career in Chemistry has influenced his approach to coffee. The prices are fair, the bagels are fresh, and the coffee is tasty. Hands down one of the best coffee shops! The owners take great pride in each drink and food item they make. They even, very kindly and patiently, listened to a custom cappuccino order I had and made it exactly as I asked for it. I appreciated their being open minded and accommodating.
