I was excited to check out and support this new coffee shop in Downtown Nazareth! The pictures online looked great, and I was intrigued by the outdoor patio. As someone who runs my own business and works from home off my laptop, I'm always looking for new coffee shops to work from to get out of the house, focus, and have a change of scenery. I’d rather support a family business over a Starbucks any day of the week. The place is cute with nice decor and a cool selection of retail items. The nitro coffee was also tasty. But there’s a deal-breaker - they don’t have a public restroom for patrons. And it's not like the location doesn't have a bathroom - it does. However, they've made the decision to not allow patrons to use it. They've barricaded it off and have put up signs in multiple locations stating that it is not for public use. It's baffling that a cafe offering beverages and food, especially one with extensive and cozy outdoor seating, wouldn't allow patrons to use the restroom! This could affect whether or not people spend time at your shop and may discourage multiple purchases. I asked the person working if there were any plans to open up the restroom, and I got a shoulder shrug. "I dunno. The owners said its only allowed to be used by someone if they have medical issues," They then mentioned, "I know there’s a bathroom at the public library that’s like a block and a half from here." Thanks, but no thanks. So you’re telling me that the bathroom is there, it works, but patrons aren't allowed to use it? Why? Maybe they don’t want people to spend extended time at the cafe, which seems strange, especially in a small town like Nazareth. Maybe they don’t want to have to clean it. Regardless of the reason, not having a restroom is enough of a reason for this cafe to not be in my rotation. I would have been here at least weekly. If you just want to be a to-go shop, that makes sense. But I just don’t think you can have seating for 22 people and not let anyone use your restroom like a normal cafe does. And now that I’m done with my coffee, it’s time to go back home so that I can pee…

Our decision not to offer public restroom facilities is primarily driven by safely issues. This could be due to space constraints, security concerns or logistical limitations. However, we acknowledge the importance of providing such facilities and are actively exploring alternative solutions.
